Job Title: Technical Sales Representative – Pumps Division
Job Description:
We are seeking a technically adept and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Sales Representative for our Pumps Division. The role primarily involves selling Vacuum Pumps & Centrifugal Pumps to industries within designated geographical areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pump technology and be capable of effectively communicating technical information to clients. This position requires frequent field visits to industrial sites to understand client requirements, recommend suitable products, and coordinate with the Sales Manager for approval of quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct field visits to industrial sites to understand client technical needs and recommend appropriate pump solutions.
2. Prepare and send quotations to clients, including specifications, pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules. Coordinate with Sales Manager for approval.
3. Maintain regular communication and coordination with the branch office to ensure seamless operations and timely follow-up on inquiries and orders.
4. Demonstrate excellent presentation skills in English to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and technical information to clients.
5. Facilitate the installation and commissioning of pumps, including solving any technical issues that may arise during the process, in collaboration with colleagues if necessary.
6. Establish and manage annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) with clients to ensure ongoing support and service for pump systems.
7. Follow up on payment collections as per agreed terms and resolve any payment-related issues in coordination with the finance department.
Requirements:
1. Technical understanding of vacuum pumps and centrifugal pumps, including their applications, working principles, and specifications.
2. Previous experience in technical sales or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
4. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Willingness to travel frequently within the designated geographical area.
6. Excellent presentation skills in English, both verbal and written.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
8. Familiarity with internationally renowned pump brands is a plus.
